# Company recommendations

Refine can now help you discover companies near the ones you already care about.

If you watch companies like Anthropic, Stripe, Meta, or 1Password, Refine can suggest other companies with similar markets, company traits, and role patterns. The goal is not to flood you with generic job alerts. It is to surface companies you may not have known to search for.

## How it works

- **Start with your watchlist**. Recommendations are based on companies you already watch.
- **Review a short list** of related companies without leaving Refine.
- **Watch a recommendation** and Refine will create a new company watcher from the source watcher's setup.
- **Dismiss what is not useful** so future recommendations can get sharper.
- **Tell Refine why** when something is off, like company size, industry, or stage.

## Why we built it

Job search gets easier when you know where to look. Refine already watches companies you care about. Recommendations add a discovery layer on top of that, helping you find companies that are close enough to be relevant but different enough to be useful.
